- A little goes a long way. It may not seem like much, but only the smallest amount of liquid is needed.
- Go as slow as you like. It doesn’t matter if it’s dry or wet when it’s heated.
- Wood like basswood, poplar, pine, birch and cedar work best. Try to pick wood that is light in weight and colour.

Wood Burning Made Easy
Scorch Marker is chemical wood burning marker. Apply your design, heat it up and watch the wood burn. It's simple, easy, and fun!
How To Use:
- We recommend sanding to at least 220 grit. The smoother the surface the cleaner the lines.
- Shake your Scorch Marker and prime it by pressing the tip on a paper towel until it becomes saturated with liquid. Then draw your design, refilling the nib as needed or use adhesive vinyl to create a stencil to colour in.
- Try using stencils or templates to make your designs pop!
Heat
Once you've applied your design, remove stencil if required and heat it up and watch it burn! The more heat you apply, the darker the design.
We recommend using a heat gun but other heat sources can work too! Just make sure it gets to at least 190c.

Yep. It works on both. It works on just about any wood/paper product!

It’s ok. Scorch Markers are non toxic and won’t hurt you. They are also safe to use on projects like cutting boards and spoons.
